Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Cristam.com, a digital platform created to support students—especially international students—through community, commerce, and connection. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Cristam.com and its associated services, including the marketplace, vendor dashboard, forums, messaging features, and other resources.
By accessing or using Cristam.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.
1. Who Can Use Cristam
Cristam is intended for users 18 years or older. By creating an account or using our services, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.
2. Account Registration
To access many features of Cristam (e.g., purchasing, selling, posting in forums), you must register for an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete information
- Keep your login details secure
- Be responsible for all activity under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or delete any account that violates these Terms.
3. Marketplace Use
Cristam provides a platform for vendors (sellers) to list and sell products or services, and for buyers to purchase from them.
Buyers agree to:
- Provide accurate billing and shipping information
- Only purchase items they intend to pay for
- Communicate respectfully with vendors and staff
Vendors agree to:
- Fulfill all orders on time and as described
- Only list products/services they have the right to sell
- Never misuse customer data (see Section 7)
- Comply with all applicable laws and platform policies
Cristam is not responsible for the quality, legality, or delivery of vendor products or services, though we do facilitate dispute resolution (see Section 9).
4. Vendor Approval & Responsibilities
All new vendors are subject to manual approval. We may request verification documents before activating your shop.
Approved vendors must:
- Accurately describe products or services
- Keep stock, pricing, and shipping details updated
- Handle disputes fairly
- Respect user data and comply with our Privacy Policy
Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in suspension or removal from the platform.
5. Payments & Fees
Cristam uses secure third-party processors such as Stripe, PayPal, and SureCart. We do not store credit card or bank information on our servers.
- Vendors may be charged a commission or transaction fee, disclosed during onboarding.
- Buyers are responsible for reading full product descriptions and refund policies before making a purchase.
- Cristam may withhold vendor payouts if fraud, chargebacks, or policy violations are suspected.
6. Refunds & Cancellations
Refunds, returns, or cancellations are handled directly between buyers and vendors, unless otherwise stated in a vendor’s shop policy.
Cristam encourages both parties to communicate respectfully. If you need assistance, our support team may mediate disputes (see Section 9).
7. Data & Privacy
Your privacy matters. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, store, and protect your information.
Vendors must never:
- Store or use customer data for marketing without permission
- Sell, share, or misuse customer information
- Contact customers outside of order-related communication unless consent is given
We take violations of data privacy seriously and will take appropriate action, including banning vendors or reporting unlawful behavior.
8. Forum & Messaging Guidelines
Cristam offers forums and messaging to foster community among students. Users agree to:
- Be respectful and supportive
- Avoid posting spam, hate speech, harassment, or misleading information
- Use messaging features responsibly
Admins may monitor and moderate content. Messages that violate guidelines may be removed, and repeat offenders may be banned.
9. Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises between users (e.g., buyer and vendor), we encourage direct communication first. If no resolution is reached:
- Users may contact Cristam support at info@cristam.com
- Our team will review and may mediate the issue
- Cristam’s decision in platform-based disputes will be final
We are not a legal authority and recommend seeking outside mediation or legal support for serious matters.
10. Account Suspension or Termination
Cristam may suspend or terminate accounts without prior notice if:
- These Terms or other policies are violated
- Fraud, spam, or illegal activity is suspected
- Multiple complaints are received from users
You may appeal suspensions by contacting info@cristam.com.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on Cristam.com, including logos, branding, and platform design, is owned by Cristam unless otherwise noted.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute platform content
- Use Cristam branding without permission
- Upload content that infringes on others’ copyrights
12. Limitation of Liability
Cristam is not liable for:
- Loss or damage from using our services
- Issues with vendor orders or transactions
- Unauthorized access to your account due to your negligence
We strive to keep the platform secure and fair, but your use is at your own risk.
13. Policy Updates
We may update these Terms to reflect new features, legal requirements, or community needs. You’ll be notified via email or site notice if changes are significant.
Continued use of Cristam after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
