After hours in transit, Abolaji finally arrived in the U.S., eager to start his new journey. But as he stood in the airport, exhaustion weighing on him, reality hit hard—he had no accommodation arranged, no phone service to stay connected, and only cash in hand, with no credit card to book a ride or hotel.
Desperate, he dialed his friends—the ones he planned to stay with—but none of them picked up. Stranded, confused, and unsure of what to do next, he felt completely alone in a foreign land. That moment of struggle became his turning point. Determined to ensure no international student faced the same uncertainty, he founded Cristam—a lifeline that helps newcomers arrive prepared, connected, and never alone.
